Games Played: 61
Wins: 44 72%
Loss: 8 13%
Draw: 9 15%
- Game #1: 500 pts VS Chaos – Solid Victory
Highlights: Detachments easily drop warrior units and Hounds. The enemy can’t hold up to our superior Combat Resolution scores.
- Game #2: 500 pts VS Chaos – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The enemy soldiers are sucked into unfavorable combat by the use of fleeing archers and are forced to charge the parents who then allow the detachments to flank charge. It was a giant mess as the Chaos warriors were hacked down without mercy.
- Game #3: 500 pts VS Lizardmen – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The 2 large skink units avoided combat pretty much the whole game and just shot darts/javelins at my units. Kroxigors set up for a nasty charge only top be forced to charge the Legionaries Parent unit instead of the detachment, thanks to the last 2 archers fleeing. The Kroxigors lose and break, flee again when charged, but escape, then are charged by the swordsmen and 2 Equites. The Kroxigors are utterly beaten and are destroyed. The enemy’s Skink priest general gets charged while he’s hiding inside a unit of Skinks, the 2 archers who bravely charged the unit slaied the Skink Priest, winning the Skirmish easily for the Remans!
- Game #4: 2250 pts VS Chaos Khorne & Beasts – Massacre victory
Highlights: Fancy foot work managed to out maneuver the enemy units and crush the poor Khorne Mortals. They couldn’t handle the static CR. The Beasts didn’t destroy, but just make the BSB & his unit flee and they couldn’t rally being the last turn. However this was the only unfortunate event, every other even went very well. Chaos ogres crushed in combat. Multiple beast herds smashed and a Shaggoth held at a distance, so it couldn’t terrorize my Legionaries.
- Game #5: 1000 pts VS Wood Elves – Minor victory
Highlights: Wood Elves avoid combat as much as possible until; they are sure they can win combat, but The Legionaries are eager for battle and use a nasty trick; the detachment charges the Dryads, the Dryads rank up and the Parent also charges, but once the Dryads are ranked the Parent is now within charge range, which it wasn’t before. Combat is a breeze and the Dryads are destroyed. The glade riders charge the flank of the Parent, but fail to do any real harm and are eventually slain. The rest of the army holds the treasure markers and while we took some severe casualties, the wood Elves can’t outnumber our worth in points within 6” of the treasure and the Remans win again.
- Game #6: 1000 pts VS Beasts of Chaos – Massacre victory
Highlights: The Enemy’s poor planning sees his wizard slain quickly by a fen-beast, and his chariot destroyed by heavy cavalry and a unit of chaos Warriors flees panicked by the broken chariot! The enemy bounces off our battle lines with ease, the battle was over before it began…
- Game #7: 1500 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre victory
Highlights: Onager panics a unit of Boyz from the table and slows the advance by panicking other units, who fail to make it to combat. The Ork general made a powerful charge along with a chariot, but the Remans hold fast and strong, they fight the enemy back and destroy him. Equites defeat a unit of Ork Archers and then kill the Ork Mage. Goblin Wolf Riders are charged and eventually slain in the 2nd combat. The enemy was utterly defeated.
- Game #8: 1500 pts VS Dark Elves – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Dark Elves had powerful magic and good shooting, but they couldn’t kill enough of any unit to make any significant points, instead nearly their whole army was crushed. The CR generated by the massive units of Legionaries and their flanking detachments overwhelmed the Elves who fled and were easily cut down.
- Game #9: 1500 pts VS Chaos Khorne – Minor Victory
Highlights: The Khorne Knights were easily flanked due to some fancy movements and over-runs that saw them flee without a real fight. They were later destroyed fleeing from a no-win combat situation. The Marauders died horribly from the overwhelming power of the Legionaries. Furies were sated with some archers and the Onager Crew, and were very annoying as they fought one of the Reman Parent units. The Chosen Warriors however destroyed my General and also killed his unit. They were eventually beaten in combat but held. The Shaggoth was fed archers and eventually was broken and did not rally after being defeated by a Legionaries detachment.
- Game #10: 1250 pts VS Empire (cavalry) – Massacre Loss
Highlights: I learned that 2 units of heavy-hitting knights should not be allowed to make a multiple charge on units as they will inevitably win combat by an insane amount totally ruining my chances of victory or even the chances of holding my ground. Bad luck plagued the game and the scenario was very much against me in every way…. Let’s not speak of this again.
- Game #11: 2000 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Good ‘ol empire Maniple Signifer and ranks-outnumber-etc… won the day for the Remans. Orcs just couldn’t get enough kills to offset the better CR. All but 15 of the enemy’s 200 Orcs & Goblins were slain/fled.
- Game #12: 2250 pts VS Slaanesh Dark Elves – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Sure the magic made a dent in my army, but the Legions pushed forward anyway. The enemy was eventually forced to charge my Parent units, who had their detachments quickly counter-charge. The combats were over before they began with fighting ability equal it came down to my Griffon standard and my flank bonus that tipped the scales. 25% of the enemy forces were destroyed, only the unbreakable unit was still alive!
- Game #13: 1500 pts VS Beastmen – Draw
Highlights: Surrounded and some bad-luck saw my general and the Legionary Eagle Signifer, with their units, all flee early on in the game, but when things looked their worst they rallied and held their ground and actually killed enough to pull out a draw and were only 55 victory points short of a win! Good for losing about 2/3 of my troops!
- Game #14: 1500 pts VS Khorne Mortals – Minor Loss
Highlights: In every engagement, my characters were slain by directed attacks/challenges. I lost all my possible combat bonuses that the unit champions and characters brought to the table and it is actually what cost me the game. Always remember to hide those characters from powerful soldiers.
- Game #15: 1500 pts VS Bretonnian Errantry War – Minor Loss
Highlights: Some of my tactics worked, but his cavalry was able to break a unit in one charge reducing my army by 1/3 strength! (LUCKY) then, as I began to make a comeback chasing his units across the table, the knight unit that ran through the Legionaries moved into position to charge the flank of my Maniple Signifer Legionaries unit. I countered by placing two units of Archers in his path, however once of the units of archers were within charge reach of his Pegasus Knights and he charged both archers in one turn, overrunning and crashing into the Maniple Standard unit’s flank. The BSB and the whole unit were lost in the break/pursuit. If my Archers had been about 1” further he would have failed the charge and my Maniple Standard unit would have lived and the game would have been mine. It’s tough to lose by an inch!
- Game #16: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves – Massacre victory
Highlights: The Wood Elf General was caught by surprise due to the redirection and detachment flanking rules and ended up getting hurts because of it, losing his Tree Kin. Then lost a unit of War Dancers to a duel charge from the two Equites. The Onager killed 11 Eternal Guard out of 24 in one shot. The Dryads bounced off of a flank charge against my Legionaries with my Imperator. In the end he had only destroyed 300 points and I had gathered 1600 VP’s! His magic and superior strength/movement was no match for rock-hard infantry blocks.
- Game #17: 2000 pts VS High Elves – Draw
Highlights: An all cavalry army made for a tough fight. The evasive Elves had to be pinned into a charge; they were counter-charged and chased, but the Elves were too fast. Eventually the Elf General and his unit passed the required LD 3 break test and the Legionaries were counter-charged and destroyed by a flanking force of knights. The battle ended with the Remans 200 points in the lead; however no victory could be claimed.
- Game #18: 2000 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Orc & Goblin units died easily, they couldn’t combat the Reman’s hardened Legionaries. However the Giant and the Wyvern-riding Warlord were more difficult to combat. The Giant finally fell after decimating the Legatus’ unit. Then the Legatus and his unit plus their detachment of Legionaries all fought the Warlord on the Wyvern and defeated him twice, the second time chasing and destroying the monster and his rider. Overall it was panic that lost the game for the Orcs; they couldn’t keep their leadership high enough to keep from running away!
- Game #19: 2500 pts VS Khorne Chaos – Draw
Highlights: The Chaos forces were very tough and very deadly. The Reman Legions held their own on the field and had nearly snatched victory from the field, but the Chaos warriors refused to budge from a combat that was easily won and instead of sending a wave of overwhelming forces at the enemy, my units were stuck hanging in the open. A draw that was bitter-sweet, we survived the deadly Khornate hordes, but still failed to pull out a victory.
- Game #20: 2500 pts VS Lizardmen – Draw
Highlights: The Lizardmen proved to be very resilient. Our soldiers couldn’t pierce their thick scales and thus couldn’t break through their Slann General’s regiment. Trapped in an un-winnable combat the Legion was out-flanked and some regiments were crushed. Meanwhile the opposite flank had great success, the destruction of a full regiment of Saurus and salamanders as well as many skinks was a great help in our efforts to hold the field. However victory could not be had without stronger forces at our disposal and the battle was a draw.
- Game #21: 2000 pts Allied with 2000 pts (Empire) VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre victory
Highlights: For the most part the battle went well for the Remans. The left flank was made almost entirely of conscripts and foreign fighters while the right flank was made of true Reman Legionaries. The left flank found a disproportionate number of enemy combatants that they had to battle and while they fought bravely they were eventually crushed; they managed to hold the line until the Remans could defeat the right flank.
- Game #22: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Wood Elves had a fractured army, the Treeman & Dryads were on my right flank while the Wardancers and Wild Riders and Way Watchers were on my left flank and the Glade guard and Eternal Guard were in the center. Each group was not being supported by any of the others. On the right flank I simply played delay tactics I lost a unit of Archers and a unit of Equites, but otherwise avoided the powerful Tree colony moving towards me. On the left flank I used my Onagers and Legionaries to mow through the elves there. In the center simple one-on-on battles were fought with predictable results of the Remans winning. The Elf General died and so did all of his army, all that was left was 2 mages and a Treeman and 75% of the Dryads (about 1400 points killed). The Remans lost 2 Archer units, 2 Equites units, 1 Centurion, & 1 Legionaries Detachment plus various casualties (about 500 points killed). The Remans captured 2 banners and 3 table quarters as well as the head of the Elf General!
- Game #23: 2000 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Standard Battle, discipline and tactics won the day!
- Game #24: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Standard Battle, discipline and tactics won the day!
- Game #25: 2250 pts VS Vampire counts – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Standard Battle, discipline and tactics won the day!
- Game #26: 2250 pts VS Ogre Kingdoms – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Ogres brought along a regiment of 3 Rinox Cavalry, very deadly beasts. The Legionaries survived their powerful charge with a draw then began winning combat as the beasts finally started to fall in combat. They easily killed 25 of my Legionaries, but we prevailed and crushed them as they fled, seeing the futility of fighting the disciplined Legions of Remas!
- Game #27: 2000 pts VS Ogre Kingdoms – Major Victory
Highlights: Despite hitting the Slave Giant around 35 times with strength 4 weapons, I managed to only wound it with about 10 strength 6 attacks! The Ogres failed to kill enough to get rid of the Legion’s static CR, and each Ogre unit turned tail and ran! However after much fighting approximately half of the Reman’s force was gone, but then again there wasn’t much left of the Ogres either. The game was filled with unlucky dice rolls, but once again discipline managed to overcome luck!
- Game #28: 2250 pts VS High Elves – Minor victory
Highlights: The enemy used lots of small units of cavalry and infantry. His magic and shooting were dangerous and the Legionaries were slowed by a Griffon-rider. Precious time was wasted while the Griffon rider destroyed the Onagers and terrorized the infantry. We came out ahead, but our losses were very high!
- Game #29: 2250 pts VS Dwarfs – Major Victory
Highlights: Effective Onager fire killed lots of Ironbreakers, but his artillery was deadly too, dozens of infantry died as they advanced and all the cavalry save one died as well. However the Legionaries were sturdy in their resolve and pushed onwards towards victory.
- Game #30: 1500 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Insane Massacre Victory
Highlights: Onagers & Archers were horrible, accounting for possibly 5 deaths of the enemy. Instead it came down to the Legionaries to do the fighting, which they did like professionals! The Orcs charged in and one-at-a-time each unit broke and ran as my Detachments flanked them and Cr overcame them!
- Game #31: 2000 pts VS Beastmen – Insane Massacre Victory
Highlights: Onagers and Archers were less than worthless! An ambush behind the left flank’s line plus a magical movement spell saw the Beast herd dispatch a Detachment of Legionaries and a Detachment of Archers; plus a few other Archer Detachments and 1 other Detachment of Legionaries were slain in the fighting. Other than that, everything else was in pretty good condition considering I had to fight off 6 Chaos Ogres, 3 Dragon Ogres, a Shaggoth and 3 wizards! My superior CR & Leadership against Fear won the day!
- Game #32: 2250 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Minor Victory
Highlights: My opponent knew my tactics well and did very well to counter them all. He used a refused flank attack, which slowed the advance considerably. One unit of Legionaries engaged his Savage Boar-Boys head on with a detachment with no success; he actually did very, very well. After many rounds of combat my Parent unit fled leaving the detachment behind and the detachment actually defeated them finally (with the parent unit regrouping on their next turn). His ogres on the opposite flank destroyed a unit of Equites and both Onagers; this was made possible due to my haste as I sent my Equites charging into combat only to see the Ogres gain valuable distance in their quest to kill the Onagers. The rest of the Remans engaged in frontal combat with the enemy, with moderate success. I eventually broke through two of his units and slammed into the third Orc unit’s flank when it was already engaged in combat to the front with a unit of Legionaries. The Goblins to my rear managed to roll an animosity roll that gave them a free move which they used to set up a rear-charge on one of my units in this combat and I promptly ran with that same unit charged in the rear only to be caught by the Goblins; however the other unit engaged carried the Tribune’s rod of Command and held firm. The battle ended in a very minor victory for the Remans.
- Game #33: 2250 pts VS Empire – Major Victory
Highlights: Forests created a bottleneck in the center, so one of my units went around them on the left flank while the others moved up the center in two waves. The enemy held his ground and fired upon my troops as they advanced. Terrible casualties were inflicted by their artillery and handguns, while our Onagers only killed a rather minor portion of their soldiers. The units to the outside flank were driven back by handgun fire, but rallied and continued the advance and defeated the hand gunners. The units to the center were fairly successful, but the Aquilifer and his unit lost combat and were run down; however the second wave of Legionaries managed to stop their advance and held this unit in place so they could do no other harm. The battle ended with the Remans ahead by over 1000 points including the Reman Tribune slaying the enemy general in single combat, claiming Spolia Opima!
- Game #34: 2000 pts VS Ogre Kingdoms – Insane Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Ogre infantry moved up the center path (about 1.5-2 feet wide) with their Rhinox Cavalry on my left flank and Gnoblars in support. My army deployed in a spear-head formation, with the Tribune and Aquilifer’s units in the center and the Centurions’ units slightly behind and to their flanks for flank protection and support if the first line broke. Combat began in the center; small Ogre Bull units fled and sent me into the Ironguts who also fled easily. Various Ogre units panicked due to the fleeing Ogres nearby, essentially sealing their fate. The Rhinox Cavalry was distracted by the fast cavalry and various detachments. Only 320 points of Remans were slain while approximately 1500 points of the Ogres were slain and 500 bonus points were gained.
- Game #35: 2250 pts VS Tomb Kings – Solid Victory
Highlights: The two Screaming Skull Catapults with Skulls of the foe caused massive casualties on the Legionaries. The Legionaries were forced to take over a dozen panic checks due to casualties inflicted by the catapults and with the help of the Aquilifer’s Imperial Standard they were successful. The Equites managed to slay a unit of Archers and a unit of Carrion. The Tribune, a Centurion and their unit were slain by the Tomb King and his chariots. The rest of the Maniple was weakened, but still fighting. Despite our horrific losses, the enemy suffered much more; their forces were reduced to only 3 damaged chariots and about a dozen infantry.
- Game #36: 2250 pts VS Dwarfs – Major Victory
Highlights: Dwarven artillery and handguns bombarded my infantry and soon multiple units were barely capable of putting up a fight. The Aquilifer and his Vexillation with the Maniple Signifer lost all but one rank bonus making their weighted attack tactics nearly worthless. The Equites on the left flank fled from the battlefield, but did so in order to draw off the Ironbreakers who now exposed their vulnerable flank to a full charge from the 1st Century’s 2nd Vexillation; their combat raged on and saw the death of “Tiberius Lucius Herculius,” however the Remans prevailed and the Ironbreakers were broken and cut down. In the center multiple small combats between Remans and artillery and handgunners were fought, some successful, others failures; but in the end they tied up the deadly missile units so that they could not harm anything else. The tribune, Aquilifer and their units charged into the center against the Dwarf Warriors and their two Runsmiths, the combat raged on and on, until a detachment of Legionaries managed to break the stubborn bolt thrower next to the combat and then proceeded to charge the Warrior’s flank thus bringing a swift end to a long and evenly matched combat. On the right flank a unit of Equites drew off the fire of the enemy Grapeshot and Organ gun leaving a single Cavalryman to charge the cannon… who then perished in combat. This gave the 2nd Century’s 2nd Vexillation a chance to defeat the Organ gun in close combat almost kill the Cannon after that. The deadly Dwarf Lord and Bodyguard of Hammerers held the furthest right flank of the field and a detachment of Archers Auxilia and a detachment of Legionaries managed to delay and divert this unit so that it could never play a part in the battle save generating 24 points from slain archers. The game ended 1800 pts – 680 pts with the Remans clearing the field of a substantial portion of their enemies.
- Game #37: 2250 pts VS Skaven – Solid Loss
Highlights: Powerful enemy shooting and magic decimated my center and the flanks crumbled or were negated when the center forces had been removed.
- Game #38: 2250 pts VS Skaven – Draw
Highlights: The enemy had no magic and limited shooting (about as much as I did). We exchanged blows, but were evenly matched and while hundreds of Rat-men were slain, the Remans could not pull off a victory, especially since a Rhinox Rider charged the rear of the Tribune’s unit!
- Game #39: 2250 pts VS Common Goblin Horde – Draw
Highlights: Evenly matched we were forced to engage in frontal combats for the most part and the Remans were successful, but then a few flank charges were made against the furthest units causing them to break and be destroyed! The lesson is, don’t pursue the enemy if that pursuit roll might bring you near a flank charge by the enemy!
- Game #40: 2250 pts VS Bretonnian Errantry War – Massacre victory
Highlights: The Bretonnians were hesitant and Remans confident. A few peasant units were slain in the first 4 turns, but nothing of significance and I had lost an equal share. Then fleeing Questing knights were run down and flank charges/baiting moves drew the enemy into bad positions where they were eventually defeated and forced multiple panic checks. The Bretonnians lost their BSB & General to break-tests/Panic. Turn 5 & 6 saw nearly every point leave the Bretonnian force!
- Game #41: 2250 pts VS Skaven – Draw
(Lone Wolf Indy GT 2006)
Highlights: Equal in strength we both refused to give up any ground and in the end the Skaven Bull Rhinox Rider managed to break my general’s unit and bring the game from a win for me to a draw.
- Game #42: 2250 pts VS Common Goblin Horde – Minor Victory + Objective
(Lone Wolf Indy GT 2006)
Highlights: The Goblins were evenly matched, his units couldn’t win in a frontal assault, but a few flank charges later he managed to bring the game very close to a draw.
- Game #43: 2250 pts VS Bretonnians – Massacre Victory + Objective
(Lone Wolf Indy GT 2006)
Highlights: The Bretonnians were hesitant and Remans confident. We were to defend a position on the field and using a protective formation the Bretonnians couldn’t find a way through. Eventually they began to charge and be charged in return. A few flank charges against the Bretonnians saw the entire army flee away meanwhile a Vexillation left the main battle and killed the peasants and war machines.
- Game #44: 2250 pts VS Vampire counts Strigoi – Loss
(Lone Wolf Indy GT 2006)
Highlights: All was going well, despite some bad luck dice rolls for the cavalry. Then when the game hung in the balance, Marcus Octavius forgot to use his Rod of Command and his unit fled the field leaving the Aquilifer’s unit open to a flank charge and quick defeat. The game was lost with a single lack of concentration and forgetfulness.
- Game #45: 2250 pts VS Dwarfs – Massacre victory + Objective
(Lone Wolf Indy GT 2006)
Highlights: The Dwarfs were brave and shot my front lines to Hades, but my Remans’ iron resolve saw them punch through the wall of lead shot and bolts, the enemy broke as the skilled Legionaries crashed into their lines and ran them down without mercy.
- Game #46: 2250 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Goblins squabbled most of the game and the Remans easily ran them through with limited casualties.
- Game #47: 2250 pts VS Bretonnians – Major Loss
(Sooiepalooza warm-up)
Highlights: The enemy seemed to be invincible and as hard as we tried, our Legionaries could not withstand the enemy’s charges and we were routed… but would return soon for vengeance. For this humiliating defeat the Legion was required to suffer “Decimation” as every 10th man was slain by his fellow soldiers as punishment for failure! Defeat is not an option!
- Game #48: 2250 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
(Sooiepalooza 2007)
Highlights: The rowdy Orc horde was no match for our disciplined Legions; they dashed themselves upon our many ranks and were routed with great ease!
- Game #49: 2250 pts VS Chaos Mortals & Beasts – Minor Victory
(Sooiepalooza 2007)
Highlights: Great mutants and monsters were sent against the Legions, but bravery in the face of overwhelming odds allowed our troops to hold and capture the objective!
- Game #50: 2250 pts VS Daemonic Legion – Loss (by objective)
(Sooiepalooza 2007)
Highlights: The Legionaries were crushing the Daemons with great ease; however their general and his bodyguard had managed to surround the central objective and would not budge securing a victory despite their heavy losses!
- Game #51: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves - Draw
(Sooiepalooza pick-up)
Highlights: Dozens of Elves erupted from the forest and crashed into the Legion’s lines. We held rather easily, but could not get the enemy to flee, after a long battle it was a stalemate.
- Game #52: 2250 pts VS Bretonnians – Massacre Victory
(Sooiepalooza 2007)
Highlights: After our humiliating defeat (2 days earlier) the Legions had vowed to never flee and never surrender! (Decimation helps to energize the men at times) The enemy was terrified at our newly found courage and was slain to the man!
- Game #53: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves – Draw (with objective)
(Sooiepalooza 2007)
Highlights: Yet again Elves ambushed us from the forest, Centurion Tiberius found himself face-to-face with a Treeman Ancient and while he valiantly accept the challenge of this great beast that he could not win and was carried away by his soldiers to nurse his many wounds. The Legionaries in an attempt to avenge their commander’s mortal wounding held fast and eventually broke the great tree hacking it to pieces. The enemy was very sneaky and while we made great advances into their lines, we could not find victory, and battle ended in a draw.
- Game #54: 2250 pts VS Chaos Mortals Tzeentch – Minor Loss
Highlights: The Remans fought well, but I forgot to capture the enemy Battle Standard and unit standard when I broke his infantry unit. They managed to rally and eventually hold in combat until the Dragon Lord arrived to finish off my regiments fighting them. The Dragon toasted about 3 units down to sizes incapable of fighting. The Reman artillery was miserable and both Ballistae destroyed themselves. My Legionaries were very brave, but the enemy magic and deadly monsters were too much for us to handle in the end.
- Game #55: 2250 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Major Victory
Highlights: Artillery severely damaged the strength of the Orc units early on. They were incapable of putting up a good fight and were all destroyed. The Night Goblin units however were never even reduced below half strength and won many combats. In an attempt to gain greater glory one regiment pursued beyond the main battle line, exposing his unit’s flank and then was eventually defeated and destroyed. A second unit as well as 2 more detachments were destroyed as the Night Goblins flanked and netted them. The enemy Black Orc Warboss couldn’t stand the lack of fighting going on and attempted to engage some auxiliary archers, however they fled and the Enemy General was seen in the open and 2 well-aimed Ballistae found their target and the General was no more.
- Game #56: 2250 pts VS Orcs & Goblins – Massacre Victory
Highlights: Artillery did a number on the Orcs early and the enemy had too few units available to negate my flanking detachments. Static Combat Resolution was the name of the game and on turn 4 the game was decided as the 3 large Orc infantry units in the center had been destroyed while the remaining two awaited combat where they would be destroyed. The enemy artillery was in-line to be run over by my Equites. He was thoroughly routed.
- Game #57: 2250 pts VS Wood Elves (Tree Army) – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The enemy had no chance when so many skirmishers, they could not do enough damage to break my lines and the Legions simply outlasted them! The Ballista crewmen managed to slay a Treeman Ancient, an amazing feat! The enemy was routed easily.
- Game #58: 2250 pts VS Ogre Kingdoms – Insane Massacre Victory
Highlights: Three Bull Rhinox Riders in a single unit were destroyed by artillery fire and bait-flee charge reactions. The Ogres were caught in a very dangerous trap with every Irongut unit stuck fighting the Parent Vexillations to their fronts with detachments on their flanks. The Ogres breaking from combat caused massive panic and routed the army in turn 3.
- Game #59: 2250 pts VS Dogs of War – Solid Victory
Highlights: The artillery apparently was improperly constructed or was sabotaged in the night; the catastrophic malfunctions destroyed 75% of the machines leaving me with one Ballista on turn 2. The enemy’s artillery was extremely accurate and deadly by the end of the day 75% of our soldiers were casualties, however our fighting strength was only reduced by 50% thanks to the strong will-power of the Legionaries! The Mercenary Paymaster was slain early in the battle and the army was noticeably startled by this unfortunate turn of events, several units panicked and a few run from the battlefield. The Legionaries broke the initial assault by the frenzied barbarians only to later be forced to re-engage them as they rallied. One final push by the exhausted Legionaries broke the enemy’s center causing a chain of panic along the lines, half of the enemy’s remaining forces fled the field and the enemy army was routed!

- Game #60: 1000 pts VS Empire –Massacre Victory
Highlights: The Equites managed to slay a few of the enemy’s cavalry, but were routed rather easily soon after. The Legionaries however were rock solid, holding the line against the enemy’s charges and breaking them! The Ballista engaged in counter-battery fire destroying the enemy’s artillery piece, saving many lives!

- Game #61: 2250 pts VS Blood Dragon Vampire Counts – Massacre Victory
Highlights: The enemy was confident and why wouldn’t he be, 2 powerful Vampires and a foul Necromancer were preparing for a deadly assault on the Legions. It was obvious that there could be no victory if the Vampire Lord was fought in single combat, out heroes would perish to feed his bloodlust! The Legions instead moved slowly and purposefully towards the enemy’s ranks. The first wave of attacks were on the flanks as Ghouls and Fell Bats and Dire Wolves crashed into our ranks of soldiers and armored Equites. These initial attacks were repelled easily! The artillery caused considerable casualties in the enemy’s ranks including a Black Coach! The enemy was soft, the Equites on the right flank charged into more Ghouls running them down like grass and then into a regiment of skeletons who had already received heavy casualties from the Onagers. With the right flank cleared our attentions turned to the left flank, Our Vexillations flanked the enemy’s Left flank of skeleton warriors including their commander… a deadly Vampire Thrall. Just when victory seemed within grasp, the Necromancer cast one final incantation that re-raised the unit back to a suitable strength. We were forced to commit more Legionaries to the fight and eventually wore the enemy down. Centurion Tiberius bravely accepted the Vampire’s challenge to the death and defeated the evil creature! Our Vexillations in the center were able to grind down the undead menace destroying the Necromancer and his Grave Guards. Archers a small detachment of Legionaries were sent to divert the Vampire Lord, these brave souls were slain, but managed to draw the enemy General away from the fight where he would not be able to use his exceptional fighting skills to assist the undead horde. With his entire army slain around him, the enemy Vampire fled the field to preserve his own life.
